Gram flour is made from raw or roasted ground chickpeas pulse, also known as Bengal gram. It is a staple ingredient in the cuisine of Indian subcontinent as well as in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Srilanka.
It is source of protein, carbs n some minerals too. Gram flour is used in making variety of Indian snacks, sweets , sev, chat, pakoras. Gram flour or besan is also used as binding agent in cutlets, tomato omlette, roti dhokla, laddu.
